FAQs
A transcript is simply the written version of an audio recording, with no particular format. Subtitles, on the other hand, are the written version of the audio track of a video, in a special text format that can be added to the video itself, and synchronized so that it appears at the exact time the words are spoken.
When we transcribe a recording, we follow all the accepted norms of standard language to make the text readable, but we do not edit the content. We also offer a “refined transcription” service in which we edit the text to make it more suitable for publishing. For example, we turn a video recipe into a recipe in its own right, with the indication of times and ingredients, to be published on a cooking blog. 
When you buy a minutes package you can send us one or more files, as long as the total duration does not exceed the number of minutes you purchased. For example, if you buy 120 minutes you can send us ten 12-minute files or six 20-minute files to transcribe, it’s all the same to us.
If there are more than 3 speakers, the audio quality is poor, or the language is not standard, we reserve the right to apply a surcharge to the number of minutes consumed, equal to an extra 10% for each requirement that is not met. For example, transcribing 10 minutes of low-quality audio consumes 11 minutes. If there are more than 3 speakers as well, the minutes consumed will be 12, and so on.
