Training for Marsilli’s team of in-house translators
Marsilli turned to Qabiria to organize in-person training courses for its team of translators, focusing on computer-aided translation, project management and online research.
With the help of Qabiria we were able to provide our staff with an update on some essential aspects of our business. Although the topics covered were quite technical, and therefore potentially boring, the training was agile and stimulating.

The challenge
Marsilli’s international focus is supported by an in-house team of more than 10 translators and interpreters operating from its headquarters in the province of Cremona, with a wide range of skills, experience and characteristics.
Marsilli approached Qabiria in order to standardize the level of knowledge of employees in translation project management and technology applied to translation.
The solution
Together, it was decided to intervene with targeted in-person training focused on three topics:
- review the characteristics and peculiarities of translation processes and their management programs (so-called TMS, Translation Management System);
- obtain an overview of the operation of computer-aided translation programs (CAT tools);
- deepen knowledge of online research methodologies and tools, an activity that underlies the typical tasks of a translation department.
The result
After two training days at Marsilli’s offices, the team of linguists learned about the most important aspects of translation projects and were presented with examples and online research strategies. They found many ideas that could be applied in their daily work to improve productivity.
