Owen Bucher-Flynn
Translator, subtitler, gatherer of knowledge

After a childhood spent immersed in the cultures and languages of Wales, Ireland and Cornwall, and spending his adult life putting his degree in German, Italian and Spanish to good use exploring, studying and working in various corners of Europe, Owen has always lived poised between one world and another. With a deep fascination for the customs, stories and ideas that draw the dividing lines between cultures, and the common threads that connect them, he developed a keen interest in the arts, humanities and social sciences. More recently, he earned his Master’s degree in translation at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. Always on the lookout for new perspectives to challenge his own, he goes to great lengths to learn about and appreciate the nuances of human society and culture. When not sweating over a translation, he can be found immersed in a book, essay or film, concentrating on playing a musical instrument or writing.
