About Mercedes Sanchez
Mercedes Sanchez is a physical therapist and osteopath specializing in the integrated approach to health. A graduate in Physiotherapy, she gained experience in the treatment of postural disorders and scoliosis in pediatric and adolescent ages. In 2002 he integrated osteopathy into his practice, embracing a holistic view that considers the relationship between body, mind and emotions inseparable. Today he follows patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly, with a respectful and natural method geared toward prevention and the person’s overall well-being.

The challenge
Mercedes, an osteopath and physiotherapist from Barcelona with solid clinical experience, wanted to expand her business project in the health sector through the creation and sale of online courses. The main challenge was to address the complexity of a process that required transversal skills: from digital marketing to design, from financial management to market exploration, from content selection to choosing the best elearning platform, areas where Mercedes needed outside advice.
The solution
Mercedes undertook a six-month mentoring course with Marco Cevoli of Qabiria, as part of a program offered by Autoocupació, a private entity that promotes self-employment through the creation and consolidation of small businesses, offering guidance, counseling, training and coaching services for entrepreneurs.
The mentoring involved a series of regular meetings, with a practical and accessible approach, which covered digital marketing tools, design aspects, the criteria for choosing the training platform and financial issues. For each area, several strategic options were presented, allowing Mercedes to choose the solutions best suited to its business model.
The result
Thanks to the mentoring and consultancy process, Mercedes was able to carry out in-depth market exploration and successfully launch an initial pilot course. This initial phase allowed her to test the product, gather valuable feedback, and define the optimal strategies for the main project. Mercedes acquired hard and soft skills that will enable her to successfully manage her e-learning portal independently.
