Bitcoin is a digital currency vaguely similar to the Linden Dollars which can be used to buy goods and services on Second Life. The main difference is that while Linden Dollars can only be used in Second Life, bitcoin can be used to buy goods and services in the real world.
There are two ways to get bitcoin: it can be generated out of thin air, or it can be exchanged for euro, dollars, or other currencies.
